| EXERCISE REHABILITATION

| |
|
Rehabilitation is the active phase of treatment which introduces and integrates specific progressive remedial exercises after post surgical or acute episode through to full functional activity. Rehabilitation is frequently issed or not addressed, even though it is essential for full recovery and the prevention of further or recurrent injury.
Therefore, as soon as the severe pain and muscle spasm eases, rehabilitation should begin immediately. We at BodyFocus(UK)Ltd will guide you through the stages of rehabilitation. With our specialist knowledge we ensure that you do not progress too abruptly through each rehabilitation phase especially if you are anxious to return to your sport.
Once rehabilitation is completed, a fitness test will be undertaken to ensure necessary fitness levels are fulfilled. You will then be able to resume your sport or normal activities. BodyFocus(UK)Ltd will use a combination of unique protocols, which will help you return to your full potential. We offer a fully equipped rehabilitation studio for pre and post operative strengthening programmes. These include:

EN-TREE M EXERCISE SYSTEMS
The EN-TreeM is a cable pulley ideal for functional training and rehabilitation.
It accurately determines position, velocity, force, power and work, allowing us to quantify the functional capacity during i.e. a golf swing or a tennis stroke.
With the EN-TreeM, the musculature of all major human joints can be tested and exercised and then monitored by comparing the results of different tests. i.e. the Therapist can compare power vs time, position vs time, force vs position and velocity v position.
This is an excellent way for you to see your own progress during rehabilitation and that you are thoroughly strengthening all range of movements ensuring you return to a relative level of activity or up to international sports standards.

PRO – FITTER MACHINE
The Pro –Fitter is a cross trainer machine which gives you a balanced and functional total body workout.
It will help develop your confidence, stability and enhance your mental physical performance by challenging you with your proprioception, coordination, overall agility, functional core strength, stability, functional leg strength, power, upper body strength, reaction skills, and cardiovascular endurance.
Whether you are a child or adult, who is into low impact recreational activities or highly adrenaline extreme sports i.e. downhill and slalom skiers, they all require multi-directional movement responses.
It is a dynamic modality that offers the benefits of a complete “closed chain” rehab program for ankle, knee, hip, back and shoulders injuries.

FITBALL
Core is the muscles which lie deep within the trunk of the body, and generally attach to the spine, pelvis i.e. transversus abdominus, and the muscles which support the scapula. These core muscles have a large focus on stability work as they mainly concentrate on the transversus abdominus and multifidus in dynamic movement.
It has shown that the transverse abdominus precedes movement of the upper and lower limbs. It has also been demonstrated that after a period of lower back pain, there is a specific motor dysfunction of these muscles in patients with or without symptoms. These muscles need to be specifically re-trained after a period of lower back pain.
The fitball is an ideal way to re-train the stabilising and postural muscles to improve athletic or everyday functional performance i.e. sitting at a desk, watching television, gardening, travelling, and playing sport.
TRAMPET
A small trampoline used for doing a variety of exercises. It is a low impact exercise and again ideal for lower limb injuries.
WOBBLE BOARD
A low impact exercise used for people with lower limb injuries. It is used to improve balance and propriception.
