PILATES TRAINERS
Amanda Kitchen Amanda is a Fully Certified Stott Pilates Instructor, teaching Pilates since 2001 to her personal client base throughout West London, the Esporta Riverside club in Chiswick and the Central London YMCA. She has completed over 1600 hours of study and personal tuition. In August 2004, Amanda was invited by Stott Pilates to become an Instructor Trainer/Examiner to apprentice Stott Pilates Instructors. Successfully qualifying in March 2005, she is currently one of only two people in the UK to achieve this level, and regularly holds instructor training courses in Oxford and at the Central London YMCA. As the only UK Stott Pilates Presenter, Amanda can be often seen presenting workshops at fitness conventions including FitPro.
Before Pilates, Amanda trained as a classical ballet dancer until the age of 21 when she turned to a career in the fitness industry. Working as a personal trainer, specializing in pre and post natal exercise and injury rehabilitation, she is certified with the YMCA, RSA, ACSM and LCSP and is also a qualified as a sports massage therapist.
Anny Hooker Anny started out as a professional dancer having trained in ballet, jazz dance and gymnastics for a few years before getting involved in the health and fitness industry which she has been a part of for over 15 years, she starting out as an aerobics instructor, and then moved into personal training. Anny now specialises in Pilates classes and one to one training which she has be teaching since 2004. Anny has furthered her experience by qualifying with 'Stott Pilates'.
Christian Cox Christian began her Pilates education just over 7 years ago after retiring from tri-talons. She started her training in the Classical method with master instructor Romana Krynzanowska (The last living disciple of Joseph Pilates) and then went on to take her certification in the more contemporary approach called STOTT.
Having learned both methods, Christian is able to give a much broader and knowledgeable skill set to her clients.
Claire Dews Claire Dews is a certified Pilates Instructor from California, who studied Pilates under Marie Jose Blom-Lawrence at Long Beach Dance Conditioning. Claire specialises in Reformer, Trap Table (Cadillac), Theraband, Roller and Fitball.
As well as a teacher, Claire is a Dancer who trained in Ballet, Jazz and contemporary in Los Angeles. Claire has performed in Japan, Mexico, and throughout the US.
